Age of Empires II Cheats List
TheCommands.co has assembled a searchable list of all 23 Age of Empires 2 cheats for PC and Mac. Age of Empires 2 HD and expansions: The Forgotten, The Conquerors, and African Kingdoms are all included in the list of AoE2 cheats.
In the Age of Empires 2 cheats, you can open the cheat console by pressing ENTER on your keyboard. Once you type a cheat code into the box, press ENTER once again to send it. Cheat codes are not case sensitive; still, you have to spell them properly, such as adding punctuation such as coma, apostrophes, etc.
Some Age of Empires 2 cheats in the list are limited to the HD Edition of AoE2, these are specified with the HD Edition badge. Furthermore, cheats that are mainly available for “The Forgotten” expansion are categorized with The Forgotten. On the other hand, that are available for “The Conquerors” are labeled with The Conquerors.

| HOW DO YOU TURN THIS ON | With the help of these AoE 1 cheats, you can spawn a "Cobra Car" at your Town Center. The Cobra Car is a great unit that can only be available through cheats. It has 500 HP, swiftly firing volatile ammo, but has a propensity for friendly fire. |
| TO SMITHEREENS | This cheat can spawn the "Saboteur" unit at your Town Center. The Saboteur is only obtainable by using this cheat code, and has the same looks as the Petard unit. At the same time as it still has the Petard unit's volatile and self-destructive inclinations, it is more influential, and has a blast radius 5x the size of Petard's. |
| NATURAL WONDERS | NOTE: The consequence of this cheat code can't be upturned, save your game before using it if you want to switch back. This cheat can put you in control of the "Nature Civilization", which all animals, etc belong to - allowing you to control animals and other parts of nature. As this switches your society to nature, you are not capable to switch backside to your original society. |
| I LOVE THE MONKEY HEAD | This AoE 1 cheats code can spawn a "Villager Male Dave Lewis", or VMDL for short, unit at your Town Center. The VMDL unit is only available by using these cheats, and moves awfully fast. VMDLs have no shield or attack bonus - their insanely fast movement tempo makes them excellent for searching, but not so much anything else. |
| FURIOUS THE MONKEY BOY | This cheat can spawn the cheat unit (only available through cheats) "Furious the Money Boy". Furious the Monkey Boy is a commanding unit that appears to be a monkey, having 99 armor (both melee and pierce) and 999 attack bonuses against Standard Buildings makes it great for destroying settlements. |
| I DON'T EXIST | This cheat can spawn the "Penguin" unit. As you would have thought, the Penguin unit is only available through this Age of Empire 1 cheats code, and is a powerful unit that looks like a.. You guessed it: penguin. |
| ALPACA SIMULATOR | This cheat code can spawn the "Alfred the Alpaca" unit. Like the other units spawned by cheat codes, this can only be found through cheats and isn't obtainable without them. Alfred the Alpaca is a very strapping unit that headbutts enemies - it also has 100 attack bonus for Standard Buildings, and Stone Defenses. |
| CHEESE STEAK JIMMY'S | This cheat code allows you 1,000 more of the food resource. In AOE 2 HD Edition, it offers 10x more (10,000 food). |
| LUMBERJACK | This cheat code can give you 1,000 more of the wood resource. In AOE 2 HD Edition, it offers 10x more (10,000 wood). |
| ROBIN HOOD | This cheat code allows you 1,000 more of the gold resource. In AOE 2 HD Edition, it offers 10x more (10,000 gold). |
| ROCK ON | This cheat code allows you 1,000 more of the stone resource. In AOE 2 HD Edition, it offers 10x more (10,000 stone). |
| MARCO | This cheat will demonstrate the entire map (all black areas will become visible/discovered). Using it again will pin its effects off, recurring your map back to the way it was before. |
| POLO | This cheat can disable Fog of War (FoW). Typing it again will re-enable Fog of War. |
| AEGIS | When you have this cheat activated, building, assembling, training, and researching is direct. This is a toggle cheat – when you type it once will turn it on; when you type it again it will turn off. Two significant notes: units that are concerned in constructing a building when you enable this cheat will die, and this cheat also affects the AI/other players (and they usually are recovered at utilizing this than a weak human like you, so it's best to use this for a short period of time). |
| I R WINNER | This cheat can make you instantaneously win your existing game. |
| BLACK DEATH | You can kill everyone with this cheat code, you and your allies included. |
| WIMPYWIMPYWIMPY | This cheat can make you commit suicide, causing you to lose the game. |
| TORPEDO[#] | This cheat can kill/eradicate a particular enemy. Replace [#] with the number of the player/AI you want to get rid of. TORPEDO2 would kill the player with starting position 2. |
| WOOF WOOF | This cheat can put back all the birds with the "Stormy Dog" unit. The Stormy Dog unit is almost the strictly same as customary birds, with one delicate difference - it's a flying dog! |
| !MUTE | This cheat can disable taunts. |
| !NOMUTE | This cheat can enable taunts. |
| NINJACONNOR | This cheat can give you 100,000 of the subsequent resources: food, wood, stone, and gold. |
